Footnotes
1. The Lord said...”My grace is sufficient for you, for my power
is made perfect in weakness.” (II Co. 12:9)
God’s grace is sufficient to see us through any difficulty. Jesus said, “And I will ask the Father, and
He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever.” (John 14:16). There is no better counselor than the Holy
Spirit. The Apostle Paul said, “I myself am convinced, my brothers that you
yourselves are full of goodness, complete in knowledge and competent to
instruct (counsel) one another.” (Romans 15:14)
And if that were not enough; “His divine power has given us everything
we need for life and godliness...” (II Peter 1:3) Only Spirit filled believers
who trust in the sufficiency of God and who resist the integration of godless
psychology are qualified to counsel you.
2. “Is anyone sick? He should call the elders of the church to
pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer
offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If
he has sinned, he will be forgiven.” (James 4:14-15) Confess your sins one to
another and trust in God to bring about healing. When the disciples were unable
to drive out a demon, Jesus...” replied, ‘because you have so little faith. I
tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say
to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be
impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20) Many who suffer from psychological trauma
and drug addiction can be delivered if they learn to trust in God alone. And if
demons are present they too can be driven out by a man of faith.
3. “For we know that our old self was crucified with Him so that
the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to
sin”. (Rom.6:6) Paul said, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer
live, but Christ lives in me...” (
4. “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he
will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)
“Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you punish him with the
rod, he will not die.” (Proverbs 23:13)
“For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the
church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to
Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands
love your wives, just as Christ loved the church...” (Eph. 5:22ff) Men let’s
resist social intervention by loving our wives the way Christ loved the church
and raise our children in the fear of the Lord. Fallen
